Apa Kalkun?
Kalkun adalah berbasis web open source SMS (Short Message Service) manajemen, itu menggunakan gammu-smsd sebagai engine SMS gateway untuk menyampaikan dan mengambil pesan dari telepon / modem. Kalkun dan gammu adalah dua hal yang berbeda. Anda harus menginstal dan mengkonfigurasi gammu diri sendiri. Kalkun hanya mengelola database yang diberikan oleh gammu. Lihatlah arsitektur:

Apa keuntungan?
Karena berbasis web, Anda hanya perlu menempatkan software ini pada satu komputer, mari kita katakan sebagai server Anda. Dan komputer lain pada jaringan Anda (atau bahkan di internet, jika Anda membutuhkan begitu), hanya perlu browser untuk menggunakannya. Keuntungan lain adalah Anda tidak perlu khawatir tentang kapasitas memori telepon, karena pesan Anda disimpan dalam database.

System Requirement
Server side, is computer where Kalkun placed/installed, you need:
- Web server: Apache 2.x or Lighttpd is recommended
- PHP 5.x with: session, database library (depends on database engine you use), hash, json, curl (optional) extension/module enabled
- PHP CLI
- Database Engine (MySQL 5.x, PostgreSQL or SQLite3)
- Gammu-SMSD, part of Gammu family
Client side, you just need a modern and supported web browser with javascript/AJAX and cookies enabled, here's the list:
- Firefox 3.x or higher
- Opera 9.x or higher
- Safari 4.x or higher
- Google Chrome 10.x or higher
